Hello, Haven Invaders! As the New Year rolls into full function, I am so happy to share with your my FIRST review of 2022!

Please refer to the "Haddie's Haven Disclaimer" found in the sidebar of this blog, regarding Affiliate links and ARCs (advance reader copies). Furthermore, I was contacted by Nick Sullivan and was gifted a complimentary copy of the following book, in audio format. This review is of my own voluntary action and contains my honest opinions.

Angels of the Deep: A Tropical Christmas Novella
(An AJ Bailey Adventure)
by Nicholas Harvey and Nick Sullivan
Narrated by: Nick Sullivan

A Royal visit. A generous gift. A deadly plot.

What could be better than Christmas in the Cayman Islands?

When the British Royal Family donates a beautiful bronze statue to the people of the Cayman Islands, everyone is excited to see the Christmas Eve presentation go off with a bang - especially one man with a grudge.

Dive boat operators and friends, AJ Bailey, Nora Sommer, Boone Fischer, and Emily Durand, planned on spending Christmas together, but as the Royal visit nears, they’re thrown into the middle of the festivities - and a devious plot to assassinate his Royal Highness.

Angels of the Deep brings together well-loved characters from Nick Sullivan’s and Nicholas Harvey’s best-selling series for a holiday adventure that’ll keep you on the edge-of-your-seat, with a few chuckles along the way.

Angels of the Deep (AJ Bailey Adventure)Angels of the Deep by Nicholas Harvey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It was an absolute delight to read/listen to this book. I am very familiar with Nick Sullivan's narration and his DEEP series, but I have not read any of Nicholas Harvey's work. As far as my memory serves me. My familiarity with Boone and Emily, mixed with AJ Bailey and a different cast of characters I have not met before now was brilliant. I am certain I will be looking into Nicholas Harvey's books now.

I have to share my favorite line from this book. This is not a spoiler, but Emily says "Do reindeer poop in the snow?" and I just about died laughing.

As for the audio, Nick Sullivan was as amazing as ever. His interpretation of accents and the use of different voices to match each character. I knew exactly who was speaking. The recording was flawless and very well done.

I do wish I had started this book during the Holiday season since the book's setting is Christmas. However, this is officially the first book I finished in 2022!

Disclaimer: This review is a compilation of my honest opinions & experience. I did receive a complimentary copy of the audiobook from Nick Sullivan, but this does not influence nor sway my review in any way.
