Hello fellow bookworms! It's a new month. With a new month comes new books. I have managed to get a few books on my TBR read, but with every book I read there are at least four added to the list. Here is an update of my TBR, for the next two months. I will try to keep the list within a minimum of 15 books. CLICK HERE to see my other TBR post. All books mentioned will have a GoodReads linked in the titles. (Most of the following books are from blog tour coordinators, for review tours.) Also, make sure to check out The YA Shelf (click the button in the right sidebar of the blog)
Before I get into the book I WILL read, here are some links to reviews for the books that I finished.
Let's begin this post with:
I am reading this book for a blog tour that is coordinated by YABoundBookTours. The tour is for the second book, so I will be reviewing both books for this tour. I am thinking that it is good that I read the first book, to know what is going on before getting into the second book extremely blind. Going in blind is good sometimes, but I wanna see what's it all about.
I am only in the first few pages of this book; however, what I am reading so far is very interesting.
This is also for a tour with YABoundBookTours.
I am around . . . five pages in? The cover is what intrigued me most, but the plot sounds amazing. I am unable to decipher the genre, but it has a Sci-Fi, almost Fantasy-like feel. So I am guessing that it is one or other, or both. I am hoping that the book stays within the lines of what the blurb is selling. Most books I read do, with the exception of a couple that surprised me with some elements that I did not expect to find. But I do my best to overlook that and keep reading.
This is also with YABoundBookTours.
Is that cover not the neatest! I mean, yeah, that should not be the total reason for wanting to join the tour. The blurb is short and to the point, so I will put it here: Aspen---a skydiving, rock-climbing, bear-cuddling---adrenaline junkie, finds herself in real danger when she unwittingly ensnares the heart of Obsidian, the dragon king.
I am starting the second chapter of this book. This is definitely Fantasy or Dystopia. I really like Aspen's character. It's pretty fast paced at the moment, but I will not go into detail.
This is a tour with Chapter By Chapter. I do not know whether to share this cover or not. Because the cover is on the tour page, but not on GoodReads . . . It will be in my review post when it goes live. I have not opened this book yet. But I was looking to get a tour stop because I really like the content that Chapter by Chapter shares. I've been following them for a while, and I finally decided to put my blog in for a spot. I believe this book is Fantasy. At least that is the feel I get from the cover.
This tour stop is with XpressoBookTours.
This is a contemporary, so you know I was going for it. When I read the blurb, I was like: "Yep, I'm going for it!" The ending sentence is "Would you defy family for love?" Does that not make you curious? It kind of reminds me of Falling for the Wrong Guy by Sara Hantz (Entangled CRUSH). I loved that book, so I know I will enjoy this one. I have yet to open it, but I will soon.
Hmm . . . I thought I had more books to add, but it seems these are most important. I still have several books that I need to review (not part of tours are anything, because if they were, i would have them finished by now), that post is linked above, but here it is again. CLICK HERE
I am on the list to review Aurora (Everealm, Book 4)!!! The author contacted me about it. How could I say no?! I love the series and will definitely be checking out her new series when she starts to publish. Learn more about J.D. Wright's new series HERE.
